I'm powered by The Corcoran Connection. Getting into real estate was a progression in my life. I started out many years ago. But the key thing in my career that I think melds with what real estate is all about is when I worked as a southeast regional manager, and I ran a territory as well as a showroom. We also did complete interiors for a commercial salon. So, with that, a lot of research had to be done. A lot of coordination had to be done. I've learned so much in interiors.
As a realtor, I can show people homes. I can feel the whole presence of the house, help them with the interiors. For example, if you were going to list your house with me, I could help you get the house ready so it's sellable. I see what other people can see, what the buyers would want. If you're buying a house, I can also see how it's going to fit into your lifestyle.
I can do several things when it comes to home staging. For some clients, I went out and got things like pillows, and throws, and everything, just the little touches. Most of the time, people's homes are very personalized. Sometimes you have to take a little bit of that out. Because you want the buyer to be able to understand, "I can live here. This can be my home," instead of them looking and saying, "What a great family that lives here." There is a lot of marketing that goes into getting your home done.
We have top-of-the-line pictures which are key in the real estate market now. Because let's face it, everybody looks online. And it's the pictures and property walkthrough videos that are going to sell your home.
I love being able to help people. That was important to me in my last position. It's important to me in this position as a real estate agent. It comes down to I want to make sure that you're making the right decision. And I have nothing to gain from it except that my clients are happy, and that's what fulfills me.
