It's nearly everyone's dream to own a home one day, but unfortunately that just isn't possible in many expensive states such as California and New York. However, there are MANY parts of this country which still have affordable home prices which never saw HUGE pricing increases, but rather sustainable growth, and thus, are much less likely to experience a housing crash! But many of the CHEAPEST States to live in just plain SUCK, so today, I compiled a list of states which are at least decent places to live, while also being affordable with growing housing markets! And some of the places on this list are actually among the BEST States to Live in!
In order to determine which US states are the best (and worst) to buy a home or rental property in, we analyze a few categories including inventory levels, new construction numbers, the economy, and long term price stability. I also implemented my personal opinion and experiences and the pros and cons of each location!
My biggest suggestion is to visit these states first to decide where you want to move to and live.
