One year ago, Parker and I bought a tiny 256 sq ft cabin on 15 acres of forest in the mountains of British Columbia. Over the next year, we transformed it into our dream (on a budget) tiny cabin adding a bedroom, a bathroom, a new entryway, a larger deck. Milling lumber from the land and living among wildlife were two of the most unique experiences, as someone who moved from Toronto, Canada not too long ago.
This is the complete start-to-finish cabin renovation, showing every step of the build, the mistakes, the challenges, and the finished result.
Our goal has always been to build a full-time family home on this property, but this cabin renovation became the perfect opportunity to learn new building skills while creating a cozy place to live and spend weekends in the forest.
If you love cabin life, DIY projects, tiny homes, off-grid living, homesteading, woodworking, rural life, camping, and outdoor adventures, you're in the right place.
Thanks for following along on this journey. This cabin is only the beginning.
