We recently bought 10 acres in Alaska to continue living out our free and adventurous lifestyle integrated with nature and simple living.
We weren’t expecting this to be easy, but our spirits, problem-solving abilities, and ability to suffer are definitely being tested. From our first steps on the land, it’s been a rollercoaster of an experience. The wildlife, mosquitoes, rain, extreme conditions, frozen ground, and our amateur construction experience have all been challenges we’ve had to face, but we’re not giving up! Thanks to everyone who’s offered their advice and words of encouragement… we’re going to need it 😬
We're excited to be getting started and building a cabin on this beautiful land, and we hope to help pave the way for others looking to do the same! In this first episode, we are focusing on clearing the land, setting up our tent to live out of, building a garage for wood and tool storage, and digging holes for our concrete piers for the cabin foundation.
