It's year 2 of restoring our abandoned property in Southern Italy is in full swing. What started as an abandoned house on forgotten land is slowly becoming a working off grid homestead. When we bought the land there wasn't a single worm in the soil. Now the compost is crawling with them—small wins on the long road of turning abandoned land into something alive.
