Fannie Mae released a NEW housing market forecast and real estate market predictions through 2024. They are predicting a larger bump in home sales in Q1 2023 but then followed by a larger contraction of sales for the remainder of the year. What I found to be most interesting was their predictions of how the bank failures of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank (as well as troubles from Credit Suisse) may impact our housing market. I share that as well as their real estate market forecast for housing starts, home sales, home prices and mortgage rates for 2023 and 2024. Enjoy! Like and subscribe!
To give you a quick mortgage interest rates update, according to the Mortgage News Daily the average 30yr fixed rate mortgage is around 6.4% for the current mortgage rates for people with exceptional credit (at the time of filming this video).
