And Jonathan Miller, the president and chief executive officer of the real estate and consulting company Miller Samuel Inc., has spent the last few years accumulating a list of all of the transactions of single-family homes and condos in the United States that were at or above $50 million. The majority of the world's ten most expensive homes can be found in either Florida, New York, or California — three states with housing markets that are well-known for their exorbitant prices — and range in price from several mansions priced at $100 million to a penthouse priced at nearly $240 million.
