Jay Morrison was once a trusted financial investor in Atlanta, but now he’s under fire and being accused of scamming thousands of investors out of their hard-earned money. Morrison got 15,000 people to invest in a real estate fund called the Tulsa Real Estate Fund in honor of what was known as the black wall street in Tulsa, OK, in the early 1900s. The fund was supposed to be an opportunity for people to crowdfund with others to invest and own real estate. In total, $11.7 million was raised, but now investors are coming forward and claiming Morrison is misappropriating funds.
