VNQ is the Vanguard Real Estate ETF which invests in many different types of companies that fall under the GISC Real Estate sector. Most of the companies within VNQ are specialized REITs (37.20% of the ETF), stocks like American Tower & Crown Castle Int. VNQ holds traditional REITs (residential, industrial or retail) stocks like Realty Income.
VNQ ETF has seen really solid growth in the past with nearly a 10% average annual return since 2004. While it has been great, other than the 1 year, VNQ has actually UNDERperformed the S&P 500 overall.
VNQ Real Estate ETF currently pays a dividend of $2.966/share annually & its most recent dividend was December 2021 which was $1.053/share.
