1) If you own a property that's rented on short-stay sites, do a weekly Google reverse image search to check for scammers using your property. If you see something that looks suspicious, text or call the police + report it.
2) If you take on a new rental agreement, pay a small fee to the land registry to uncover who the real owner is. Also, reverse Google image search the property and check the postcode online or using Gemini.
3) If someone is pressuring you to take on a rental agreement too quickly / pay an upfront "fee", then this could be a sign of a scammer. Watch out!
