On the Your Money, Your Wealth® podcast, Joe Anderson, CFP® and Big Al Clopine, CPA, answer this question from Bonnie: "Hello, I love your podcast and just finished listening to episode #188 (http://bit.ly/YMYW-188). You mentioned that "everyone" who makes money in real estate leverages loans. There are a few of us who did not do it that way. Personally I don't have that much risk tolerance so I paid cash for all my rental properties and am now FIRE (financial independence / retire early) on the income from them. I view them as a diversified investment. Thankfully I have them so I don't stress out as the markest fall. Again, love the show! Thanks for all the great information."
