Local events in Harmony Florida for April 2022 are presented by Jeanine Corcoran broker for The Corcoran Connection. Jeanine is joined by her co-host Kristin Macari owner of Studio Nine 13. Welcome to the 15th episode of Discover Harmony Florida.
Kristin started by saying there are some events coming up in Harmony and the greater St. Cloud area for April and asked Jeanine to share them. Jeanine said we have 3 local events in Harmony Florida happening this month. We will also share what events are happening in St. Cloud as well. Harmony is a part of St. Cloud, and we don’t want you to miss anything.
On Sunday, April 10th from 2-5pm in the town square we will be having our spring market and Easter extravaganza. The cost for vendors is $20 in order to secure a booth. You can reach out to Jennifer Abramson, the Harmony activities director for help with that. Her email is [email protected].
Kristin added that we don’t have the farmer’s market in Harmony on Sundays right now, so this is a great replacement. There will be an Easter egg hunt and Kristin said that Jennifer always puts on a great event so mark your calendars for that.
For Harmony West residents only, there will be an event on Saturday, April 16th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Kristin said that Harmony West residents come to our local events so why can’t we come to theirs? It’s Harmony, can’t we just all get along? They will be doing an Easter egg hunt for ages 2-12. They will also have Easter bunny photos, face painting, crafts, and food trucks.
Jeanine said that she thinks they are going to start competing with each other when it comes to local events. Her advice to the organizers on both sides if they want to keep the communities separate is they should communicate and plan future events on the same day and time to make things easier. Kristin stated if it were up to Jeanine and her, we would all get along and have one event for both communities.
If you are looking for an Easter service in your community on April 17th at 8:00 AM Dr. Danny Purvis is the Pastor at Harmony Community Church. He will be out in the square in the little Amphitheater area so bring your chairs as the ground might be a little damp. Jeanine said that it is not a very long service as in years past where it started later, and it ran longer, and it was getting too warm, hence the change.
Let’s switch gears to the local events in St. Cloud, FL. Jeanine said there will be an adult nutrition class on Thursday, April 7th from 10-11am and then again from 6-7pm at night. This event will be held at Hopkins Park. There is no fee to attend. So, anyone who wants to learn more about nutrition should attend.
Kristin stated that they are going to be talking about meal planning. She said that is what Achilles’ heel. She doesn’t like meal planning or cooking and she would rather order out although she does find herself cooking a lot.
Then, on April 8th is the Adult Moonlight Egg Hunt in St. Cloud. Jeanine said you must be 21 or older for this one. Why is that you ask? Because there will be alcohol. This local event will be held from 7-10pm at The Ranch at St. Cloud. Admission will be $15 a person. They will be a DJ and dancing with food and drinks available for purchase and they will have candy-filled eggs and prizes.
Next, we have the Sponge Bob musical which will be held on April 8th, 9th, and 15th at 7:00 PM. Other dates and times are April 10th & 16th at 2:00 PM. All performances will be held at St. Cloud High School. Tickets will be $8 for students, $15 for adults, and $10 for seniors.
The Bluegrass Jam takes place on Saturday, April 9th, and will be held at Peghorn Nature Park from 11 – 1pm. They will have live acoustic bluegrass music inside St. Cloud’s historic cannery.
Jeanine reminded everyone not to forget about the blood bank which happens every other month and takes place at the St. Cloud Community center. It will be on Wednesday, April 18th from 2 – 7pm. They provide a free steak dinner.
The Easter Egg Extravaganza is being held on Saturday, April 16th at the St. Cloud Community Center from 11 – 1pm. This event will be $5 per person, and they will only be accepting cash. This will be for ages 3-12. There will be an Easter egg hunt, games, crafts, vendors, food trucks, an ice cream truck and a bounce house.
We hope you enjoyed Jeanine and Kristin walking you through the local events in Harmony Florida for April 2022. We want to keep you up to date with the amazing events and places to visit and enjoy in Harmony.
