In this video, we begin one of our most important off-grid projects yet — moving and upgrading our water system! 💧 The first step is building and framing the pad that will serve as the foundation for our new pump house. Once the forms are ready, we tackle something we've never done before: our very first wet-pour concrete project. After years of dry-pour concrete projects, it was time to try a different approach and learn something new along the way. We're excited about this build because it has the potential to make our water system safer, more reliable, and better protected from the elements. With any luck, it will also help us extend the amount of time we can use our water system throughout the year, making life a little easier on our off-grid homestead.
