Not every week on the build looks dramatic. This one was full of small things that really matter in the long run... moving dirt, filling in the water line trench, running electrical wire for my future kitchen island, smoothing everything out and laying the vapor barrier. And in between all of that, some landscaping, because I have a vision for this land that goes way beyond just the house.
Chris and Jerrica were out here for a few more days before heading home, and there is NOTHING BETTER than having some of my favorite people on this land that makes the work feel different. Lighter, more fun, just the beauty of sharing.
This is the unglamorous middle of building your own home from scratch, alone, on 40 acres of high desert in Colorado. No big dramatic moments this week. Just steady, quiet progress in the right direction. And right now that feels pretty good.
Thanks for being here ♥️
