Each building component has been certified to meet current protocols for the full spectrum of embodied carbon in manufacturing, transportation, assembly and end-of-life phases. The one-and two-bedroom models are available as a ground mount standalone unit or can be stacked up to three stories to fit into a tight, urban setting. The electrical system is designed to support both on grid, community solar and standalone solar options, making it ideal for creating a “Village” living concept anywhere in the U.S. and abroad. As for sustainability, each unit carries a 25-year structural warranty to the end of its life cycle. By U.S. Building Green Council standards, the entire facility has been rated to be 91% recyclable. Steel Rivet will be one of the first modular housing applications in the nation to incorporate Sunamp high performance Phase Change Batteries for domestic hot water and room heating. This patented compact heat battery delivers both room heat and hot water instantly at a fraction of the cost. As for our airtight construction, the magnehelic gauge shows a 0.040 positive pressurization almost instantly of closing all doors and windows. These are three major components for sustaining (NZE) . Airtight construction, well-insulated walls, positive pressurization with humidistat controlled fresh air makeup. We have completed the first round of thermal testing in our full-size prototype model unit.
