Many people wonder and ask me all of the time where they should start their real estate investing journey. Should they start investing in single family homes? Should the first time buyer start with a condominium? Should a first time home owner start out with buying a multi family property such as a duplex, triplex or fourplex?
These are all great questions. Many people who invest successfully over their career have a plan and understand the pros and cons with every deal before they begin. Most of the successful investors in the world are more risk adverse than they are simply seeking risk as a gambler would do.
They are constantly weighing the pros and cons of every single real estate transaction. After all, investing in real estate today is very different than investing in real estate in our parents generations.
