Currently, I own 5 properties with a total of 11 doors. I live in one and rent the rest. The cash flow from those 10 yield more than my monthly living expenses.
I'm not a multi-millionaire (yet), but after reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad in college, I knew I wasn't going to buy a single family home first and that one decision has changed my life.
I never have to work for money again. Yes...I still make money beyond my real estate portfolio through coaching, consulting, and speaking, but I never have to work for money out of need or scarcity.
That gives me the freedom to be who I truly am, do what I want to do, and have everything I could ever want and more.
Growing up a middle class kid, I had some advantages...but I also had to UNLEARN a whole bunch of things. My parents had greats jobs that paid well, with great benefits and all of that but they didn't have wealth because of the middle class mindset.
I love them to death. Without them, I wouldn't be who I am or where I am. Their path was right for them, but the world has evolved into what I call The EntrepreNewReality. The 40-40 Club (working for one company 40 hours per week for 40 years) is closed.
Whether you're an employee or not, you have to look at your life with an entrepreneurial mindset.
